Ruta Reifen represents the company and is the sole proprietor of Ruta Reifen Jewelry. Ruta's practice is based on an expertise of artisanal goldsmith techniques, design skills, and an academic background in art jewelry, art history, and contemporary art.  Each piece is individually handmade, using responsibly sourced metals and stones, ensuring a commitment to the highest quality craftsmanship as well as minimal environmental impact.


Ruta Reifen, born in Jerusalem, Israel, 1984. Received an honors (magna cum laude) B.Design in Jewelry Design from Shenkar College of Engineering and Design (Israel) 2009. In 2011 she received and honors (magna cum laude) MFA from the Jewelry + Metals department at the Rhode Island School of Design (United States).

Ruta keeps her own studio practice in the Brooklyn Navy Yard (NY) and in Tel Aviv (Israel). Continuing  a decade of her own Art-Jewelry practice as well as working for other brands, Ruta Reifen Fine became the studio's focus in summer 2015. Classically trained as a goldsmith and jewelry designer, Ruta Reifen Fine celebrates her expert artistry (all pieces are hand-carved in wax) inspired by an appreciation for organic forms and influenced by nature and the sea. The result is a distinctive, contemporary look with a fluid, romantic silhouette and feel.

Ruta Reifen’s work is noted for her contemporary designs and signature coral-like textures accented by precious stones. The designs—complemented by a synergy of form and surface —are handcrafted in 14K gold while utilizing gemstone color combinations to convey an ongoing romance with the ocean.

Ruta Reifen Fine sells in selected boutique stores across the US and Europe. Her Artwork has shown in Israel, Europe, the United States and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Art and Design (NY), Penland Gallery (NC) and shown at the Museum of Contemporary Craft (OR), Gallery Loupe (NJ), Eretz Museum (Isreal).

Ruta's teaching experience includes the Rhode Island School of Design (RI), School of Museum of Fine Arts (MA), Pratt Institute (NYC), Shenkar College of Engineering Design (Israel), Bezalel Academy of Art (Isreal), 92nd Street Y (NYC), Brooklyn Metal Works (NYC), Penland School of Crafts (NC). Ruta is the creator and co-founder of Platforma, a curatorial initiative that promotes contemporary art jewelry.
